RMIT student design project - 2D Design & packaging
I designed a deck of cards with the theme of mythical creatures around the world, the art style inspired by Sailor Jerry tattoo flash artwork.
I produced the artwork on my iPad using the program Adobe Fresco. This software allowed me to draw vector art by hand, which I could easily bring into Adobe Illustrator and edit, recolour, arrange and lay out all of the artwork onto the card templates.
I drew 18 individual characters for all four face cards for all four suits as well as two jokers, plus the suits' symbols, banners, reverse pattern and box design.
The reverse of the cards is a seamless repeat print inspired by images that would be used as filler in Sailor Jerry style tattoos.
