CLO 3D Fashion Design Software

In 2022 I created some custom costume robes for two clients, using CLO 3D.
The costumes that were comissioned were a Professor McGonagall robe and a Nymphadora Tonks hoodie/robe and tartan skirt.

I customised the avatar to the proportions accurate to the client's measurements then created the 2D garment pattern in CLO 3D and fitted it to the avatar complete with darts, pockets and zips. The fitting was done as per the correct fabric choices, i.e. ponte knitĀ and cotton velveteen.

Once I was happy with the fit in CLO 3D, I exported the flat pattern into Adobe Illustrator and created a usable full-scale pattern complete with grain lines, seam allowances and notches, piece names, and had it printed on A0 size paper.

Fitting the toilles with the clients, just a few tweaks needed
After tweaking the paper patterns, I was able to cut out the final fabric and complete the garments for my two very happy clients!
